Bid on a date with this wounded warrior for an unforgettable night of adventure. Aim high—and bid higher!—because no one comes close to local hero Gabriel Morales.

Molly Dekker hates being the town charity case, but when her son Josh is seriously injured she has no choice. She lets her best friend organize a bachelor auction to help pay her massive bills and make Josh’s life more comfortable. She can’t bid on any of the men, but a surprise bidder gives her a gift she never expected: a date with the man who saved her son’s life—the only one she’s in danger of losing her heart to.

Former Air Force pararescueman Gabriel Morales made a career of flying to the rescue, until a tragic helicopter crash stole more than his livelihood. Being auctioned off like a slab of beef isn’t in his recovery plan. But one look, one touch and one night unlocking Molly’s pent-up passion makes him realize how badly he needs to be rescued…and how badly he wants to rescue Molly right back.

Will Molly and Gabriel’s never-quit attitude have them rushing head-first into love? Or will Gabriel’s secret pain stall their relationship before it can get off the ground?

I absolutely loved this book! I’ve become a follower of this series since I’ve read book one but I really have to say that this book is my absolute favourite. I devoured it in one sitting and enjoyed every bit of it!

“What are you looking for, Molly?”
She swallowed again, but at least she didn’t look away. “Orgasms. At least three.”

Dealing with her son’s recovery from an accident and her house bills piling up, Molly Dekker was in dire need of a guardian angel. Molly’s character was an absolutely interesting mix of strength and vulnerability. She was a woman of intellect and respect, a mom who loved fiercely, a sensitive girl who has a hollow source of insecurity, and a sensual female who needed to be laid. But with all the commotion in her life, she couldn’t really have time to think of herself...especially if the one she’s been thinking about isn’t quite interested.

He was a man who made his living rescuing people from desperation, and the more she watched him the more desperate she became.

Contrary to his given name, Gabriel Morales was no guardian angel. Yet he couldn’t explain why he had a really strong need to help Molly and her son Josh after saving the kid’s life. He was no hero but he felt the strong urge to aid to her needs, make her life easy, comfort her, be with her...make love to her. Gabriel has been an incessant mystery from the start. What he lacked in words were definitely justified by his actions. His scars (emotional and physical) made him more attractive, his imperfections making his character more poignant and lovable.

“Every single bit of me wants every single bit of you.”

The pull between Gabriel and Molly is off-the-charts hot! But even if their love scenes are so sensual and sexy, they share this deeper connection that seems to prove they’re wired for each other. From the very beginning, there was this unacknowledged heat between them that blazed every page and made the story more irresistible.

The writer’s prose was refreshing and continuously gripping. There were no boring moments in the book and each scene was relevant to the story. I actually didn’t feel like it’s a short read at all! It’s compacted with fun and compelling characters, a gripping plot, and a story progress that ignites every form of emotion. I love it so much and I think I’ll read it again...
