About Me

Hi! My name is Mary Ruth. I'm a bookworm all the way from the Philippines. I work in the field of Psychology by day and pretty much a bookworm on all other hours. 

Growing up, I was always the child who has her nose stuck in a book and often avoided social occasions because it seems fictional characters appease me more than people. LOL.  A good story is both an escape and a portal for me. It's an escape from my mundane day-to-day life, a spice of something exciting. And at the same time, it's a door to learning and empathizing with different characters. Reading widens my horizon so it already feels like a necessity for me to read. 

I started this book blog last 2014 when I met a number of awesome authors that the world needs to know about. I don't think the world could ever have too many book enthusiasts so I jumped in the pond. :)

Other than reading, I also have a penchant for creating graphics out of the words and inspiration given to me by the books I read. That includes teasers, swag designs, etc. I am also 'hirable' if you want me to make your graphics. Go here for details.
