Your date with ski champ Jett Casey is an either/or deal. He’ll take you off-piste for the ultimate Montana ski adventure or he’ll put his handyman skills at your disposal for a week.

Single mom Mardie Griffin has a run-down old house in need of fixing and a memory of Jett Casey as her saviour in a time of great need. So when her friends acquire Jett’s services at a bachelor auction and send him to fix up her house, she sets aside her mistrust of men and lets him in.

Elite athlete Jett Casey has the world at his feet and no desire for stability. But there’s one woman he’s never forgotten and if he can help make her safe this time, maybe she’ll stop haunting him.

No strings, no sex, no commitment. Just fix things. Surely it can’t be that difficult…

This series continues to steal my heart. I am continually charmed by the characters and their own uplifting and easy-going love stories. This book in particular was heart-warming, light, and sweet. The story was well-developed progressed smoothly, making the reading process easy and heartfelt.

He, of all people, had known how low she’d been and he’d looked at her this morning and seen beauty and accomplishment, not brokenness and despair.

Mardie Griffin battled with issues of her past. Her ex-husband was set to ruin her life and she struggled with keeping her and her daughter's life running. Working in a bar, Mardie's major concern was to pay her daily bills without seeking help from people. I loved Mardie's character contrast. She was made weak by the words and actions his past husband said but that brought out the strength she had as a person. I loved that she wasn’t a damsel in distress. I mean, she was battling with distressing issues but she never stopped fighting. She had her own insecurities but they never made her weak.

And then along came this man and I discovered that I’m not as broken as I thought.

Jett Casey had a good life. Skiing through snows in many parts of the world has upped his adrenaline too many times. But no amount of adrenaline could surpass the instantaneous feelings he felt for Mardie. Jett was an honest and adventurous man. I loved how he tries to help Mardie and Claire to have a better situation but also wanting to instil the feeling of independence for Mardie. He wasn’t the kind of hero who ‘stole the spotlight’ and completely saves the heroine from complete demise. He was the kind of hero who instilled strength and independence, which, in my opinion, is the best kind of hero.

“There should always be flirting.”

The spark between Mardie and Jett was warm and easy. It started out with a delicate connection that led into a private link between their hearts. The teasing moments they shared has kept me glued to the story. It was an effortless dance of attraction and how they complemented each other's personality even if they were from different worlds was a delightful factor.

The writing prose was fresh and easy, something that relaxes the mind and just lets a reader venture into the story without thinking if it’s well-written. It's a perfect light read. I continue to fall for this series!
