About Passion Creations

Hello! Thank you so much for dropping by. Passion Creations is the name of my graphic design services page on Facebook. It’s centered on providing book-related graphic designs for authors and at times, book bloggers/lovers. It started as a hobby for me in 2014 but my friends in the book community convinced me that I could make it into a business so here I am. :)

Here are the major things you have to know before booking a project me:
  • I do not illustrate, create, or sketch any form of graphic/clipart. I only use photos and materials found on stock sites and other graphic design resources.
  • I am not a professional graphic designer. I only learned Photoshop from experience and experimentation. You can view my work on my Facebook Portfolio and Instagram account
  • 15% of the estimated total cost should be paid before I start the project.
  • I ultimately prefer that you provide the main images of your teasers and book covers as it saves time.

Capturing your vision is my main priority. I would love to say I can cater to all genres but I have to stick to what I know and love-- romance. I love to know all the ideas you can share and I’m always up for suggestions.

When it comes to my approach in design, I always try to give my projects a colorful and unique flare and if possible, apply a tinge of your personality in it as well. I always strive to make every project as eye-catching as I can and at the same time, mirroring the emotion of the cover and/or the story (or person, depending on what project).

If you would like to see samples of my work, please visit Passion Creations by Mary Ruth on Facebook or have a peak at my Instagram account.

Q: Do you design for all book genres?
A: No. I mainly cater to romance because it’s a genre I know well and I’m the kind who wants to have a full grasp of what I’m doing.

Q: How long does it take for you to finish a project?
A: That all depends on the type of project and my schedule. Usually, I would ask a minimum of two weeks for every project. You will see all my time frames on the Price List.

Q: Do you accept rush projects?
A: Yes, if the project and time allows and for an added price.

Q: Do you provide the materials on the project?
A: Some, but not all. I would almost always require the author to provide the images especially if they are for book covers. The reason is that it saves time and also so I won't taint the author's vision.
